On the approach, when you’re almost at the start of the canyon the GPX file abruptly goes uphill to the South-West. This route goies up a class 4 chimney. To avoid the scarmble, keep at the same elevation as the rest of the traverse until you meet with the GOX thaty descends into the creek. This canyon has a lot of loose rock, beware!
Description
Park at the Lillte Russia/Solar Panel climbing parking lot. Hike to Little Russia climbing area, then ascend in Peskett Canyon to the bottom of the over-hanging 60m waterfall. From there, scramble class 2 up climbers right (past the stump) parallel to the cliff band until you make it to the ridgeline. Pick up a well-beaten track to an an open area with 2 posts that have orange flagging. From there, continue straight back following a faint trail with occasional orange flagging and cairns. Traverse along the ciff bands past multiple dry runoff creekbeds to the start of the canyon.
No escapes. Exit the creekbed at a large cain on TL via the ice climber approach trail. Shuttle with 2 cars of 25 minute walk along road back to parking.
