Description
Park either; on the side of the Emerald lake road. which is free or in the Emerald lake car park which requires payment Follow the path from the Emerald lake route map sign signposted as the Hamilton Lake trail. follow trail to the end of the canyon then continue up hill past the view points looking at the main falls. eventually the path gradient eases and starts to vear away from the river, go off track now and head down to the start of the canyon, expect the way down to be steep but possible. Enter the canyon and begin your descent. Canyon ends after the man made dam and exit is possible onto the trail back to the car.
